CURSE of REVERSE PART 2
JANUARY 2016
MY "KINGDOM FOLLOWERS" HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR UPDATES ON THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAT IN THE "KINGDOM" AND WHY IT IS ALWAYS BROKEN.
THE "CURSE of REVERSE" WENT ON A LITTLE CAMPING TRIP IN 2006 AND DID NOT RETURN TO THE KINGDOM UNTIL 2011.
THE POOR LITTLE CAT CAME BACK HOME IS VERY SAD SHAPE IN FEBUARY 2011 BUT THAT IS NO PROBLEM.
ONCE OFF THE SEMI TRAILER AND SLEIGH I PUT HIM IN THE SHOP AT MY REAL JOB TO GET WORKED ON. OF COURSE HE WAS SEIZED AGAIN FROM WATER DOWN THE EXHAUST PIPE. ONCE AGAIN THE BAR STARTER WORKED WELL FOR GETTING HIM UN-SEIZED AGAIN.
ONCE HE WAS UP AND RUNNING IT WAS TIME TO GO TO WORK. WE HAD ALL THREE CATS OUT PLOWING OFF THE SNOW ON A LAKE TO MAKE AN ICE ROAD.
FOR XMAS IN 2011 WE GOT ALL THE CATS RUNNING AND PARKED AT THE FRONT GATE. OF COURSE THE "CURSE of REVERSE" DID NOT WANT TO START SO HE GOT A LITTLE PULL TO START BY THE "FAMOUS BLACK CAT".
THE LITTLE CAT WAS RUNNING GOOD AND LOOKED GOOD WITH THE "KOMMUNIST KAT", "THE FAMOUS BLACK CAT", "BAD BUSINESS" AND "THE HOOD".
THIS WAS THE LAST TIME THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING GOOD WITH NO EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF BLOW BY FROM THE BREATHER PIPE.
AFTER NUMEROUS REPAIRS TO THE STERRING CLUTCHES AND TRANSMISSION I PUT THE BLAD BACK ON IN 2012.
BY DECEMBER 2013 I HAD A CHANCE TO WORK ON THE "CURSE of REVERSE" AGAIN. SO OUT OF THE SNOW BANK AND IN TO THE SHOP.
THIS TIME IT WAS THE CYLINDER HEAD GIVING PROBLEMS WITH LOTS OF BLOW BY.
IT IS NOTHING TO WHIP THE HEAD OFF THESE SMALL CATS.
THE DE-COMPRESSION VALVE WHICH AKE IT RUN ON GAS WERE NOT SEAT AND WHEN RUNNING ON DIESEL THERE WAS LOTS OF PROBLEMS.
WELL AFTER 2 YEARS OF WAITING WITH THE REBUILT CYLINDER HEAD IN MY SHED, I DECIDED TO GET BACK ON THE PROJECT IN JANUARY 2016. I USED THE "FAMOUS BLACK CAT" TO PULL THE "CURSE of REVERSE" OUT OF THE SNOW BANK.
IN TO THE SHOP ONCE AGAIN THIS LITTLE CAT KNOWS THE ROUTINE.
IT DID NOT TAKE LONG TO GET THE NEW HEAD ON THE CAT BECAUSE I HAVE DONE THIS MANY MANY TIMES.
AFTER GOING FOR A TEST DRIVE AND THE ENGINE STILL WAS NOT RUNNING RIGHT I PUT HIM BACK IN THE SHOP.
IT WAS A LITTLE TIGHT FIT WITH THE D6 9U KNOWN AS THE "BISMARK" IN THE LITTLE SHOP TOO.
WITH THE COMPRESSION GAUGE I WAS ABLE TO FIND THAT # 1 CYLINDER WAS MISSING 25LBS OF COMPRESSION.
OF COURSE THE PICTURE DOES NOT SHOW THE DRIPPING OF OIL BY ALL THE BLOW BY FROM THE MISSING COMPRESSION. BUT THE CAT TRACKS LOOK GOOD WITH THE SNOW HOLES CUT IN THE PADS WHICH MAKE FOR A DIFFERENT PATTERN IN THE SNOW.
WITH THE MONEY TREE DEAD AND NO PARTS ON HAND TO FIX THE PROBLEM I PARKED THE MOST EXPENSIVE CAT IN THE KINGDOM OUTSIDE UNTIL PARTS OR MONEY CAN BE FOUND.
